Unproduced Marvel Crossovers Iron Man images and review

Back at Toy Fair 2010, a whole bunch of Marvel Transfomers Crossovers were shown that never saw the light of day. These included a cool looking Iron Man and War Machine combiner, which had a Tron lightcycle styled Iron Man and a humvee War Machine merge into a larger high tech flying vehicle form.

After Toy Fair 2010 other than one leak of prototype pictures, nothing was ever seen of these figures, and the line ended with a wimper.

Flash forward seven years, and we’re able to share some images of one half of the set. The Iron Man lightcycle has found its way into the hands of toy photographer Starscream’s Toast, who has shared photos and his thoughts on the figure on the Gear 4 Geeks blog. This is the first time we’ve ever really had a good look at this figure or its articulation, and one thing that is evident from the photos is that it may well have been a fun figure had it been released, with a cool futuristic alternate mode that would look right at home with the Technobots.

Check out the review and pictures of this figure on the Gear 4 Geeks blog.

First Strike issue 5 Alternate Covers

Via Previewsworld, we have a look at three alternate covers for the upcoming First Strike issue 5. First up is the standard cover, cover D, with artwork by Rob Duenas, which shows the various heroes (and a very buff Starscream) facing off against a horde of Dire Wraiths. Second is the Davide Fabbri 1/25 retailer incentive cover, which is a more traditional Transformers / G.I. Joe teamup piece, with Optimus Prime and the G.I. Joe team in the foreground and Joe Colton in the background. There’s also a lot of green goo. Lastly there is Leonardo Manco’s 1/50 retailer incentive variant, which brings on the bad guys and is perhaps the most striking of the three covers on show here.

Check out all three covers attached to this post.

Prime 1 Studio has shared via its Facebook Account a gallery of  its Transformers Film 2007 Barricade Statue.

A very impressive and detailed statue of one of the most popular characters from the 2007 movie . The Decepticon bad police car shines on this release. You can read the details and description below:

MMTFM-15: BARRICADE (TRANSFORMERS 2007)

“ARE YOU USERNAME: LADIESMAN217?”

Prime 1 Studio is proud to present MMTFM-15: Barricade from Transformers Film. Barricade is apparently a complicated robot. He believes that Starscream is vital in their search for Megatron and the AllSpark. In many ways, this makes him Starscream’s closest ally in the naturally combative Decepticon ranks. Then again, it’s been said that he likes to trick people into trusting him, just so he can see their reactions when they find out just how much of a bad idea it was. As such, he has disguised himself as an Earth police car in an attempt to fool the humans around him.

Statue features:

– Size approx. 30 inches tall [(H)64.5cm (W)50cm (D)43cm]
– LED Light-up function on head
– Limited quantity worldwide

Retail Price: $1499

You can see some key pictures below and then you can click on the bar to check the full gallery and share your impressions at the 2005 Boards!

Legends versions of Gnaw (with bonus Headmaster Sweeps), Targetmaster Hot Rod and Targetmaster Kup are now out in the wild for Japanese fans to add to their collection, and care of Alfes2010 we’ve got some pictures showing these figures compared to their Hasbro Titans Return counterparts. Kup ans Hot Rod both feature some remolding, extensively so for Kup, to better resemble their onscreen counterparts, as well as reworked paint jobs – check out that sharp magenta on Hot Rod.

To top it all off, via Hobby Search, there are in-box images of all three new figures.

TFW2005’s Titans Return Brawn Photoshoot Now Online

$

0

When Titans Return debuted, Hasbro revealed that one of the line’s Titan Master figures was Brawn. Many fans were disappointed, saying “we want a Legends class Brawn!”, and Hasbro, with a twinkle in their eye, said “oh, wait and see”. And, sure enough, Titans Return got a second Brawn – the Brawn that fans clamored for. The Legends class figure to add to the growing Classics Minibots lineup, alongside Bumblebee, Wheelie, Powerglide, and so many others.

What makes this Brawn so much sweeter is he captures a lot of the personality of this Autobot powerhouse. The design is not only accurate to the original design of Brawn, but his personality – a strong, tough, Autobot – also comes out in the design. Brawn even has a weapon, a shield / blaster, that forms the back of the vehicle mode. And if you don’t like the weapon, it mounts on the back of the robot mode, in a move that makes the back of the robot mode very similar to the Generation 1 toy.

Brawn is another great Minibot homage in a great line of toys. We’re looking forward to next year’s Beachcomber, as well as the other awesome new Legends in the pipeline, based on the strength of figures like Brawn, Seaspray, and the rest of the Legends. Check out Brawn’s gallery to see why we’re loving this figure.
