The Bumblebee Movie News Roundup: Brighton Falls

We are restarting our Transformers Live Action Movie news roundup project as we move on from Transformers: The Last Knight to Transformers Universe: Bumblebee. We’ll bring you weekly updates (just like last time) hoping that you’ll catch up to all the tidbits you may have missed.

The biggest news which came out last week is the reveal of an unknown Decepticon in the guise of a 1971 Plymouth GTX. For those who are unable to spot the insignia on the hood, our resident photoshop extraordinaire Red Goblin enhanced the image for your viewing pleasure.

We also learned that the movie’s working title ‘Brighton Falls‘ refers to the fictional town the story takes place.

Speaking of which, we were then bombarded with many pics from the principal photography of Transformers Universe: Bumblebee. Most of the images showcased the 80s setting while some highlighted various vehicles on the set including our titular character Bumblebee as a Volkswagen Beetle. All the images are attached with this news post.

Filming also took over Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk which stood in as Brighton Falls Boardwalk where Charlie Watson (played by Hailee Steinfeld) is working.

Some details at Cinefex seems to suggest that ILM is back for the new movie with their amazing CGI.

Last but certainly not the least, Transformers Live Action Movies are not Transformers Live Action Movies if they do not have at least one controversy surrounding each. Transformers Universe: Bumblebee is not free from that curse either. As it turned out, the production crew has painted over an important mural while filming in Vallejo, California.

Thanks to TFCN on Facebook we have some new Transformers: Evergreen Optimus Prime And Bumblebee In-Package Images.

Following the reveal of Transformers: Evergreen Optimus Prime and Bumblebee vehicle mode images earlier today, TFCN has posted both toys in Robot Mode and In-Package. The toys are near identical to the characters from My Busy Book we reported before.

Thanks to Weibo user alucardlee, we have our first look at the next part of Unique Toys’s upcoming take on the beloved gestalt Bruticus, Onslaught! The set of Combaticons is, naturally, Masterpiece-inspired in scale and style and this Onslaught is no exception despite some minor artistic liberties. Official Transformers Fidget Its Spinners Found In US

Thanks to 2005 Boards member Awesomepow we have our first report of the Official Transformers Fidget Its Spinners Found In US.

Fidget It spinners were announced and listed before in the Hasbro Toy Shop and now we have our first sighting in the special exhibit in the “America on Wheels” in Allentown, PA.

Megatron and Bumblebee spinners were spotted for $8.99. We hope they will hit big retail stores soon.

These concept arts look like modifications of the previous Dreads we saw in Age Of Extinction with a nice touch of war paint. Josh only gives us a brief description of them: “Anarchist Dreads don’t care about your society #transformersthelastknight“.

Cyber Battalion Prowl Spotted at Walgreens

Hasbro’s “under-the-radar” subline, Cyber Battalion continues to pop up at Walgreens all over the US, and Prowl has finally been spotted! Found at this newsie’s local Walgreens in Saint Petersburg, FL, Prowl is the second figure of Wave 2 alongside Jetfire who was sighted just under a month ago.

Keep your eyes peeled and happy hunting, TFW!

Transformers: Evergreen Starscream And Megatron Robot Mode And In-Package Images

It’s not everyday we see Decepticons blowing Autobots out of the water. Weibo user 淘宝店变形金刚改造工厂 has shared new images from the Transformers Authentic “Evergreen” Value Channel toyline and they are a far cry (in a good way) from the Optimus Prime and Bumblebee toys we saw yesterday.

With nicely articulated limbs and less “clunky” robot modes, Starscream and Megatron seems to be the crown jewels of the new toyline unless Grimlock has something to say about it.

Transformers My Busy Book Spotted In UK

Thanks to 2005 Board user Gingerchris we car report that Transformers My Busy Book Was Spotted In UK.

The book was found it in Sainsburys for £6 (8 Dollars aproximately). You get a book, a playmat, six rubbery robot figures and their corresponding vehicle modes. We reported about this book previously here.

Titans Return Legends Seaspray and Cosmos found at UK retail

We’ve got good news for UK Transformers fans. Titans Return Legends class wave 5 – which brings Seaspray and Cosmos to shelves – has now been found at UK retail. Cosmos is a rerelease of the 2013 Legends figure, who missed out on a UK release last time round, and Seaspray? He’s a lovely homage to the original who deserves to be in any Classics Transformers collection.

The pair were spotted in a Toys R Us in Harlow, by TFW2005 member Alpha Primus. Happy hunting friends!

Revolutionaries 8 Full Preview

Comic Crusaders has posted a full preview of the upcoming Revolutionaries issue 8. The concluding issue of the series acts as a prologue to IDW’s First Strike event, fleshing out the story behind one of the key players in the crossover. The preview tells a chunk of this story, and in the pages posted clears up one major question from the Revolution crossover – and ties everything back to All Hail Megatron for good measure.

Mastermind Creations Reformatted Indominus Revealed

Thanks to a posting on 4chan, we have what appears to be a new product in the works for Mastermind Creations’ Reformatted line. “Indominus” appears to be based on IDW/More Than Meets The Eye Grimlock with some of Mastermind’s own styling mixed in. Since this image doesn’t come directly from Mastermind Creations themselves, this is likely still in development and will probably see some changes when we see the final product or announcement.

MakeToys Reveals MTCD03 Thunder Manus and Divine Suit Set

Maketoys revealed through Twitter that the next entry in their Cross Dimension line will be MTCD03 Thunder Manus + Divine Suit Set. The images from MakeToys shown off a fully painted figure of Thunder Manus in the familiar Super Ginrai / Powermaster Optimus Prime color scheme. Also shown are parts in the Divine Suit set that allows the figure to homage God Ginrai / Apex Armor. According to MakeToys, this set is scheduled for release in December 2017 with no retail price announced yet. Checkout the images from Maketoys After the break.
