Toys”R”Us Taiwan Exclusive Transformers: The Last Knight Lucky Draw Giveaway Battle Damage Voyager Optimus Prime, Battle Damage Deluxe Bumblebee and Metallic Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helmet has been revealed by the Facebook group TFND.

Thanks to 2005 boards member Type-R, we have a short translation:

  • Taiwan TRU promotion campaign for TF toys purchased between 28 – 30 April.
  • Spend New Taiwan Dollar (NT) 6,999 to be eligible for Deluxe Battle Damage Bumblebee.
  • Spend NT 9,999 to be eligible for Voyager Battle Damage Optimus Prime.
  • The metallic coating Prime voice changer helmet is a lucky draw prize.

All figures are said to be limited edition. Check out the images attached with this news post.

Hasbro Kicks off Reveal The Shield Transformers The Last Knight Promotion 4/24/17

Hasbro has sent through a press release officially announcing they’ll be kicking off a week of reveals for new product and content starting next week, April 24th.  All week they’ll be sharing content, encouraging fans to pledge allegiance to the Autobots or Decepticons, and revealing new product including a new Barricade figure.   What’s in store, and whether or not it will get the more seasoned collectors here on TFW2005 excited is unknown, so best to keep an eye out all next week!

Treating Fans to Five Days of Exclusive TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT Content and Product Reveals

The Transformers Forged to Fight mobile game is adding another Beast Wars character, and this time it’s Waspinator!  The Predacon comic relief will join Rhinox representing the Beasties in game starting now!

Despite his loyalty to the Predacon cause, the stalwart Waspinator never gets the respect he deserves from both his team mates or the universe. He has a knack for being crushed, smashed, and torn apart, but this bug has shown himself to be nearly indestructible, always appearing reassembled and ready for the next battle.

Passive:

Ranged Attacks

  • Basic ranged attacks sting the opponent, inflicting a 20~28% Resistance De for 2 seconds after a short delay.

Heavy Attacks

  • 100% chance to instantly inflict a 20~28% Resistance De for 5 seconds.
  • 100% chance to Nullify a Resistance .

SIGNATURE ABILITY – WASPINATOR LIVES!

Waspinator’s ability to endure otherwise fatal blows and quickly reassemble himself makes him a tough bot to take out.

  • If Waspinator’s HP would become 0 he instead becomes Invulnerable, Purifies all Des and Heals 1~20% of his health.

SPECIAL ATTACKS

Special 1 – Eye Lasers

Waspinator overloads his optic sensors!

  • 70~90% chance to gain a 13~25% Precision , increasing Critical Rate and lowering the opponent’s chance of Evading attacks for 5~7 seconds.

Special 2 – Unsteady Sting Shot

Waspinator use kick then Waspinator use gun.

  • 100% chance to instantly inflict a 20~28% Resistance De for 5 seconds.
  • 100% chance to Nullify a Resistance .

Special 3 – Surprise ‘Nuke

Now Waspinator has the giant bomb! Now Waspinator is greatest of Predacons!

  • This attack has a 100% chance Waspinator Burns the opponent dealing Heat Damage equal to 100% of his attack over 5 seconds.

SYNERGY BONUSES:

  1. Enemies with Rhinox
    • Rhinox and Waspinator both receive increased Attack Rating when paired with each other.
    • 1~8% Attack Rating.
  1. Sky Assault with Windblade
    • Waspinator and Windblade receive improved tracking when paired with each other.
    • Opponents become 5~25% less evasive.
  1. Weaponsmiths with Mixmaster
    • Waspinator gains an increased Critical Chance on Heavy Attacks when paired with Mixmaster.
    • 6~15% Heavy Attack Critical Hit

 STRONG MATCH-UPS:

  • Ultra Magnus
    • Ultra Magnus’s Resistance s make him one of the tougher bots in the game, but weakening the Resistances of bots is Waspinator’s specialty. Resistance down and Nullification of Resistance s make the Wasp a great counter for the Autobot leader.
  • Arcee
    • Waspinator’s Signature Ability to nullify des allows him to stave off death from bleeding once per fight. Arcee’s low health also becomes a serious disadvantage when facing a well timed Special Attack from Waspinator.

WEAK MATCH-UPS:

  • Rhinox
    • Rhinox’s Shield offers the perfect counter to Waspinator’s punishing Special Attacks. The Shield’s ability to withstand Waspinator’s Ranged Attacks ensure it is available when the Wasp unleashes his highest damage.
  • Mirage
    • The quickest way to mitigate Waspinator’s powerful Special Attacks is to deny him Power. Mirage’s Power Drain mode will allow him to keep Waspinator from unleashing his full damage.

RECOMMENDED MODULES FOR WASPINATOR:

  • Offense: Superconductor-1000
    • Waspinator has some of the most devastating Special Attacks, and the Superconductor 1000 helps him use them more often, and with less resistance.
    • The Superconductor-1000 is exclusive to the Raid Store.
  • Defense: Repair Module
    • Waspinator’s Signature Ability gives him more opportunity to heal up with the Repair Module’s abilities, helping ensure he sticks around for fight after fight.
    • The Repair Module is found in the Premium Module Crystal.
  • Utility: Paralyzer
    • The chance to Stun gives Waspinator’s Sting more time to shine by keeping opponents from escaping while they’re vulnerable.
    • The Paralyzer Module is exclusive to the Alliance Crystal and Alliance Missions.

Takara-Tomy Legends EX Black Convoy Revealed

Several sources on Twitter  and Facebook have revealed a small picture of a Japanese magazine which announces Takara-Tomy Legends EX Black Convoy.

This time is the Titans Return Voyager Optimus Prime mold which gets the black repaint style. The figure will be a Tokio Toy Show exclusive and it will cost 6,048 yen.

This is the second time Black Convoy is getting a Legends EX release as a Tokyo Toy Show exclusive. The 2015 exclusive used the Deluxe RTS mold.

TFcon is proud to announce that Alec Willows will be a guest at the 2017 convention in Toronto. Known to Transformers fans as the voice of Tarantulas in Beast Wars, Mr. Willows will be appearing all weekend meeting with attendees.

Transformers Earth Wars – Beast Saga Contest Winner & Full Comic Pages

Last week, we announced that Beast Wars was joining the Earth Wars with the addition of Optimus Primal and BW Megatron to the game. To celebrate, Space Ape is releasing a mini-comic by artist Nathan Webb that shows their arrival to the story, Quantum Beast Leap. The first three pages were released through fan sites and today we have all 3 available for you to view. The conclusion to the story will be voted on during a live stream with Space Ape via their Twitch channel soon!

On top of this, during last week’s announcement, we started a contest where a 2005 Boards member could win Page 2 of the comic, and that winner has been chosen. Congratulations to Vic1105. He’ll receive the original art for page 2 thanks to Space Ape and the Transformers Earth Wars team!

Direct from the recent Thailand Comic Con 2017 we get a nice surprise. The first prototype of Soap Studio Soldier Story Dark Of The Moon Optimus Prime Statue was presented.

While we still don’t have exact info of the size, release date or price, the prototype looks massive and with an impressive amount of details. As a very interesting feature, the statue has got a transforming shield as we saw it on Dark Of The Moon film.

Also rolling in from Thailand Comic Con, Transformers The Last Knight Herocross figures!  Seen on display were Hound, Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Megatron and Sqweeks!  These are availble in 2 sizes.  Also seen were Generation 1 Heads which included Arcee, Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Soundwave, Devastator and Starscream.  No details on exact sizing, pricing, or release dates, but we’ll update once we have it.  Read on to check the pics courtesy of Non Ph again!

Further Confirmation Of Transformers: The Last Knight Voyager Class Bumblebee

2005 Boards Member and supersleuth Nevermore has discovered further confirmation to the existence of Transformers: The Last Knight Voyager Class Bumblebee. Thanks to several Toys”R”Us UK listings, we now have a solid proof if there was any doubt about the entry on Amazon in the first place.

Our member explained:

  • [T]he Voyager Class would start at TRUP2459650001, which is a blank listing, but in the header it says “Tf5 Premier Voyager Ast”. So that listing is for the assortment in general. It works like this for every assortment.
  • The next sequential number is TRUP2459650002, which is the listing for Optimus Prime.
  • Next comes TRUP2459650003, aka Grimlock.
  • Then comes TRUP2459650004, which is the the first wave 2 figure, Megatron.
  • The second wave 2 figure, Autobot Hound, has a thus far still blank listing at TRUP2459650005, but again, if you check the header, it says “Tf5 Premier Voyager Ast Autobot Hound”.
  • Now comes the big one. TRUP2459650006 is also still a blank listing, but the header clearly says “Tf5 Premier Voyager Ast Bumblebee“.
  • Naturally, the next one, TRUP2459650007 is “Tf5 Premier Voyager Ast Scorn”, the wave 3 figure shown at Toy Fair.
  • Right now this is where even TRU’s “blank” listings end.

Takara Transformers: The Last Knight Weapons Campaign Revealed

Previously we heard the news of a Takara reissue of a screen accurate redeco of the sword which came with AD31 Armor Knight Optimus Prime.

Today, we received info of an extension of this campaign which will include a reissue of the shield which came with the aforementioned figure as well as Optimus Prime’s axe from Transformers: Dark Of The Moon.

The shield will be released in summer and the axe in fall. There will also be a secret prize included.

Transformers: The Last Knight – Mission To Cybertron Promotional Banner Spotted At Toys”R”Us

Transformers: The Last Knight – Mission To Cybertron Promotional Banner has been spotted at Toys”R”Us by our fellow staff member fallen_revenge.

So, what is this all about? Allow us to explain…

  • The first news of Mission To Cybertron came in the form of a Glyph Decoder discovered by this very site.
  • Secondly, toy images started to show up thanks to a Weibo user who posted new toys such as Voyager Class Nitro, Bomber Megatron, Deluxe Skullitron and Combiner Infernocus with Quintessa.
  • It was largely speculated for quite a while, that this is a subline which will also be a store exclusive (specifically Toys”R”Us).
  • This isn’t the first time such a subline existed, as TRU previously had Transformers: Dark Of The Moon – Mission Earth TRU Exclusive Subline.

This latest development may prove to be the solid confirmation of the fact that Mission To Cybertron is a TRU Exclusive Subline. All the pieces of the puzzle have now fallen into place. Mystery is finally solved it seems. Check out the full image, after the jump.

P.S. : A little tidbit this newsie discovered is the fact that the Mission To Cybertron TRU Exclusive Subline packaging artwork background will contain a Cybertron motif in purple while the main line will have a “dystopian earth” motif in yellow.

IDW announces First Strike – Transformers, G.I. Joe, and MASK crossover

Comic Book Resources have reported on the new IDW crossover event spinning out of the pages of Revolutionaries, which we reported on previously. Back then, it was called “Insurgency”, but it is now known as “First Strike”.

Kicking off in August, this six issue miniseries features Baron Ironblood and his new Cobra declaring war on the Transformers – leading to a conflict which will build on the ongoing tensions seen in the Optimus Prime ongoing series. The conflict is set to take in not only the Transformers, but also G.I. Joe and MASK. Mairghread Scott & David Rodriguez are set to take the reins writing this crossover, which will be released over the course of three months.

Robots in Disguise Crash Combiner Skyhammer Released at UK Retail

We’ve got word that the next of the Robots in Disguise Crash Combiners has landed on store shelves in the UK. Skysledge and Stormhammer – the two parts of the two-pack who form Skyhammer – were spotted in a Smyths in Oldbury by TFW2005 member returner, alongside the new Last Knight movie toys. This is by all accounts the first western sighting of this set – hopefully he will also arrive in the US soon.
