It has been a while since we had heard about Dream Factory‘s Leader Class Bonecrusher. Today we finally have some new images of their take on Transformers 2017 Movie Bonecrusher. Transformers movie collectors only had the Legends and Deluxe class Bonecrusher toys from the original 2017 line. Finally, you will have a bigger and more detailed alternative to add into your collections. This new mold is far more complex and poseable, thanks to the bigger size, and looks very movie-accurate from every angle. Even his great big claw, on the Buffalo mine-protected vehicle, is fully articulated. You can click on the bar » Continue Reading.

Thannks to Weibo user Notrab, we can share some great new in-hand images of Transformers Studio Series Voyager Class Megatron.

This new voyager molds is based on Revenge Of The Fallen Megatron. While being a Voyager mold, this figure sure looks more proportioned and movie accurate than the original Voyager and Leader class toys from 2009. The new images show Megatron correctly transformed in both modes, revealing some details like the fact that the feet can split in two, and the great poseability of this new mold.

You can check out the mirrored images after the jump, and then share with us if this figure please your optics at the 2005 Boards!

DX9 X34 Dutch (Legends Scaled G1 Optimus Prime) Render

Via the official DX9 Facebook account we have our first render of DX9’s next release: DX9 X34 DUTCH (Legends Scaled G1 Optimus Prime).

This a very nice rendition of classic G1 Optimus Prime in Legends scale, to go with the rest of Legends scaled figure DX9 has been releasing. Here’s a description of the final product details thank to DX9 comment on Facebook:

“x34 dutch is the new flagship product of the x series.

‌Firstly, this product includes the main part which is 10.6 cm tall, carriage, laser gun and the hot energy axe.

‌Secondly, the windscreen wiper can be hidden when it transforms into the robot.

‌Thirdly, the chest is sharp in the robot and flat in the vehicle. The shank is like bell-bottoms in the robot and square in the vehicle.

Moreover, all the windows are made of high transparency materials. The classic scene opening the chest to show the leader module can be realized”.

As we can read, this is a very promising figure for its size. No information on release date or price yet, but be sure to come back for this information when it’s available. You can click on the bar to see the mirrored image after the jump and then let us know your expectations about this new Optimus Prime mold at the 2005 Boards!

Masterpiece Prowl Animation Version Coming to the US via Diamond Distributors

The demise of Toys R Us led several fans to question what the fate of the Masterpiece Transformers line would be in the US, and we have an answer for you here. It seems that the Masterpiece line might be going the route of other niche pop culture collectibles and will be offered through channels such as Diamond Comic Distributors – meaning that you may soon be able to pick up the next Masterpiece Transformer at the same time as you pick up your pull list.

The first Masterpiece Transformer getting this treatment is MP-17+ Prowl. The animation version of Prowl is solicited in Diamond’s latest edition of Previews, and looks to be identical to his Japanese release. He’s also been previously solicited on Entertainment Earth, suggesting he’s not going to be a Diamond exclusive item.

According to the solicit, the figure is set to hit comic shops in September, the same month as the Japanese release.

Could this be the future of the Masterpiece line in the US and other releases formerly planned as Toys R Us exclusives? Time will tell – as will the potential for this to make Masterpieces more available to some parts of the fandom.

TFW2005’s Alchemist Prime with Submarauder Gallery

Next up is our gallery of Power of the Primes Submarauder, who conceals the Prime, Alchemist Prime!

Submarauder was the only one of the Decepticon Pretenders I owned back in 1988, so the Decepticon Creature from the Black Lagoon has a place in this fan’s heart. Power of the Primes does a fantastic job of faithfully recreating the original character, who has the added bonus of turning into a trident. The design is nice and intricate, capturing everything that made the original shell look awesome. Alchemist Prime, though, is underpainted and feels generic in design, but then, that just means we know who the star of the show here is.

Submarauder is a great addition to the Prime Masters line of figures, and a good accompaniment to the other Prime Masters, especially Skullgrin and the upcoming Bomb Burst. If Prime Masters are your thing, then you’ll love him. If not, consider giving him a try – he’s one of the best looking yet. Check out his gallery to decide for yourself.

Alchemist Prime with Submarauder

Power of the Primes Alchemist Prime with Submarauder

Submarauder is fantastically well done and nicely detailed. Alchemist Prime is just there, he’s a nice design, but he’s underpainted and incredibly generic.

Power of the Primes Submarauder and Skullgrin

Looking forward to doing the full three character lineup – and the five with Bludgeon and Octopunch!

Power of the Primes Submarauder wielded by Botcon Octopunch

Speaking of Octopunch, here’s the Botcon version wielding the trident mode of Submarauder.

Power of the Primes Submarauder with Generation 1 Submarauder

My poor childhood Submarauder has really discolored – but I cannot bring myself to get rid of him. Eventually I’ll end up with two, no doubt.

Confirmed – IDW’s Transformers To End. New Universe Reboot to Start in September

$

0

It’s been a high point of speculation over the last few months but we can now confirm that IDW’s current iteration of the Transformers is coming to an end. More Than Meets The Eye/Lost Light writer James Roberts has confirmed it via his Twitter account. In his tweet he confirms that “the current IDW G1 continuity will end (spectacularly) with Unicron #6, OP #25 and LL #25, all in September. All three are biweekly over summer. We’ve had time to plan for the end, so it’s a proper, un-rushed wrap up. Beyond Sept? New IDW TF comics, new continuity.” Roberts followed this tweet up with a link to MultiversityComics, further confirming the end of the story line.

The story line itself, is massive for the Transformers Comics. Dreamwave comics came to a crashing, unresolved ending in 2004 and IDW picked up the license. Starting from scratch, veteran Simon Furman built a new Transformers universe that began with the “-ation” (Infiltration, Escalation etc..) and “Spotlight” series. From that beginning we got fourteen years of stories. Some good, some bad and some downright amazing. From the -Ation series to All Hail Megatron, to the “Costa”run all the way until 2012 when IDW did something never explored before in the Transformers Universe. They ended the war between the Autobots and Decepticons. From that, we have our most current versions Transformers: Optimus Prime and Transformers: Lost Light.  In regards to Lost Light, James Roberts also tweeted “Lost Light will end in the way that I always intended MTMTE to end, and I’m so pleased I can say that. Issue #16 marks the start of a 10 part series finale that is HUGE in scope. Expect things get bigger and deadlier and madder and weirder until… the end of the quest.

Love it or hate, IDW has crafted a vast universe full of excitement, loss and plenty of controversy with some of their characters which have given fans plenty to remember the run by. But now we’ll see if their new rebooted universe can bring the same complex levels of story telling and further enhance our love for the Transformers and the characters within. As we get more news regarding artists, writers and colorists on the new series coming out in September we will be sure to post the news here.

Discuss the End of The Road after the jump.

Takara Tomy Mall Exclusive Transformers LG-EX Grand Maximus Packaging

Via friend site and sponsor Robotkingdom on Facebook we have our first images of the packaging of the Takara Tomy Mall Exclusive Transformers LG-EX Grand Maximus.

This is a very nice repaint of Legends Fortress Maximus, as a homage of Grand Maximus from the Japanese exclusive cartoon Transformers Masterforce. While the original 2000 pre-orders needed to get this toy into production were accomplished, the goal of 3000 pre-orders to unlock the bonus Prime Master Pretender suit were not reached.

The front of the packaging features a great art reminiscent of the original G1 Japanese box. The back features a picture of the toy, alt modes and Grand component. The side of the box shows the same art of the front. A very nice packaging indeed.

According to the information shared, Grand Maximus will start Shipping this Saturday 31st March, 2018. Get ready to receive a big box. If you haven’t pre-order it yet, you still can get it from our sponsors.

Thanks again to Robotkingdom via their Facebook account, we have our first images of Takara Tomy Mall Exclusive LG-EX Greatshot packaging.

LG-EX Greatshot is a homage to the honorable sixchanger warrior from Japanese Transformers Victory cartoon. Same as with G1 Greatshot, this is a repaint and remold of the previous Legends Sixshot mold.

The packaging features an art which is based on the original illustration from the old G1 box. We are sure collectors would be pleased with this retro-styled presentation.

If you pre-ordered Greatshot, be ready since he will start Shipping this Saturday 31st March, 2018. Same date as our previously reported LG-EX Grand Maximus.

You can still pre-order Greatshot and Grand Maximus from our sponsors if you are interested in adding them into your armies. Now you can click on the bar to see the images and let us know your impressions at the 2005 Boards.

Mech Planet Hot Soldiers H.S-02 Optimus Prime & H.S-14 Heart Of Steel Bumblebee Color Prototypes

Via Mech Planet Hot Soldiers Facebook we have a look at the color prototypes of Hot Soldiers H.S-02 Optimus Pirme & Heart Of Steel Bumblebee.

H.S-02 is a Legends scaled G1 Optimus PrimeThis little figure proves to be really nice sculpted in a classic G1 style. It includes a Matrix (that you can put inside the chest), Optimus iconic blaster and energy axe, Roller (tiny), and a proper trailer compatible with previous Mech Toys figures.

H.S-14 is a promising mold for the Heart Of Steel incarnation of Bumblebee. Mech Planet is hitting the market with their Legends scale G1 styled figures, so we could assume this new Bumblebee will also be Legends-sized, but according to some comments on Mech Planet’s Weibo, this figure should be around 12 cm tall.

No official confirmation yet on release date or price for any of these figures. Be sure to check our forums for more information once it’s available. You can check out the mirrored images after the jump and then join to the respective discussion threads in our forums:

Kei Zama Cover Artwork for Optimus Prime Issues 17 and 18

Here is not one but two awesome bits of cover artwork for your enjoyment. PreviewsWorld has updated with Kei Zama’s cover artwork for IDW’s Optimus Prime issues 17 and 18. Issue 17 features the gigantic Devastator on the attack, clutching an utterly terrified Starscream in his mighty fist – and we’d be terrified too if we were in Starscream’s boots! Issue 18 meanwhile features Kei Zama’s take on Solus Prime of the ancient Primes, rendered impressively in the act of forging a mighty weapon – could it be the Star Saber sword that has played a pivotal role in so many stories involving the ancient Primes?

Either way – they are two excellent pieces of cover artwork from one of the best artists currently working on IDW’s Transformers. Check out the cover art attached to this post.

Only 10.6 cm tall, but he will include the trailer (completely functional, transforms into battle station), laser gun and the the iconic energy axe. More Comments From John Cena On Transformers: Bumblebee Movie

Actor and professional wrestler John Cena spoke to Entertainment Weekly regarding his hopes to join the Fast And The Furious movie franchise. During the interview, he also mentioned his upcoming movie Transformers: Bumblebee.

“It’s going to be a wonderful piece of this franchise that I think people are going to enjoy,” promises Cena. “I was very intrigued being able to meet the team around the movie. [Director] Travis [Knight] is such a passionate man. The role they were talking to me about doing was very intriguing to me because it’s a road I’ve never been down before, but a road I felt like I could accomplish. And then put that together with the context of the movie, the way that the consumer will now view Bumblebee, all of that stuff was very interesting to me. And then they were stupid enough to say yes.”

We are yet to see the Teaser Trailer for the new movie, which may arrive before May. The official Transformers movie series website is also inaccessible at the moment.
