Official You Tube page of Hasbro’s Transformers franchise has published a mysterious new teaser video announcing a possible new video game.

Title and Official Description (translated from Spanish):

“Transformers: The destiny is in your hands

Very soon you will be the PROTAGONISTS of something very big … The fate of Transformers is in your hands!”

Judging by the color-changing eyes mimicking Optimus Prime from the Superbowl trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight, this new teaser may very well be for some product (mostly interactive) tied to the movie. Best guess would be the recently hinted mobile game, which may arrive in conjunction with the movie/toy release.

Takara Tomy has just release on its Twitter: @TF_pr a great picture showing TR Trypticon (or Dinosaurer as he is known in Japan) next to Metroplex. Finally we can see the two titans in action together.

This picture really gives us a good idea of the size of Trypticon, while revealing some extra details that may be for Takara’s Legends version of this mold, such as yellow eyes, some extra painting and stickers.

Today we are going to take a look at something a little different, the Extreme Sets Control Center Pop Up.  This is a huge cardboard based diorama loosely based on The Ark from Generation 1.  It features orange panels and lots of monitors and interface switches, perfectly giving you a base for your Autobots to hang out in.  Either on your shelf as a backdrop, or for use in your TF photography!

For those that don’t know, Extreme Sets have been putting out cardboard diorama displays for wrestling figures for a while now. They allowed folks to easily, and cheaply, create ring and crowd environments, locker rooms and props. They’ve recently got into the non-wrestling game, and their offerings are on fire right now. The first wave consists of the Deranged Alleyway, Sewer, Sector 9 (alien techy), and Dojo environments.  Wave 2 consists of “The Building”, Subway Terminal, Abandoned House, and the Control Center (seen here).  You can check out pictorial reviews for the non-Transformers ones over on The Toyark.

This is their first entry into the Transformers world, and we are excited to show it off.  We’ve done up a set of pics showing what it can do.  Check it out after the break!

If you’d like to see detailed thoughts on the product overall, I’d suggest reading our review of the first set over on Toyark.com. That covers functionality and build quality, etc.

In relation to this set in particular – it’s great. The color and graphics are G1 enough to work for any classics or MP based setup. It’s pushing the limits for Masterpiece height wise – as a display piece, completely fine. But for taller MP, photography wise at any upward angle you’ll be seeing the top of the boards. It would be awesome in the future if they did a 2 story panel like their recently released “The Building”, as that would extend up and give you that tall interior the MP’s need.

Bottom line – it’s a fun set and worth it for anyone with the room to set it up! Check some key pics below, full set after that!

As Optimus Prime and Pyra Magna try to resolve their differences in Cybertron’s Crystal City, the singularity that resides there leads them to discuss the early history of one person it consumed: Bumblebee. Through their page on Facebook, third Party company BadCube has revealed the next two entries in their Old Timer Series will be OTS-01 Huff and OTS-13 Piper, which are Masterpiece inspired version of Generation 1 Huffer and Pipes. The prototypes were shown in robot mode along with their accessories as well to demonstrate the articulation of these figures emulating scenes from the original cartoon. Their images also show them off in vehicle mode, which retained the trailer towing feature from first version of Huff when it was produced under BadCube’s former name Cubex. BadCube has mentioned that improvements have been made on this renewed version of Huff, and it should result in a better overall product. No release schedule price has been announced yet, but you can checkout the full set of images now after the break.

We’re sharing a quick gallery tonight of a recent release – Transformers Movie The Best Bumblebee. Movie The Best is Takara’s Transformers Movie pre-game show, higher end re-do’s of previous molds celebrating all the movies so far. I thought the Bee looked pretty sharp in promotional pictures and while I know everyone dreads him on the retail shelves, I do like me some Bumblebees. He’s using a deluxe Dark of the Moon mold with more traditional stripe work. Read on to check out some quick thoughts and some highlight pics. Overall thoughts:

It’s another Bumblebee! It’s clean, mold is sharp. Looks way better than the original with the odd outer stripes. However, it’s not movie accurate per say. There is a lot of yellow plastic going on, not much to break it up. Face paint has a metallic sheen which is sharp. Same paint on the wheels and gun. Inner body is a dark gray plastic. One thing that could have used improvement here is on the body, a light silver wash would have done wonders and truly made it feel like a special release. Overall it’s a sharp piece but I wouldn’t say it’s a must grab for the casual collector. Those without the mold, or who grab all things Bee – worth a pick up. When it come reckless, Brake-Neck is in a class of his own.  Opponents and allies think his head-on, who-blinks-first combat tactics are a bluff, that no one can be that wild and impetuous, but the truth is Brake-Neck really is nuts.

He doesn’t care, and that’s what makes him so dangerous.

Despite this, Brake-Neck is a bag of nerves, and sudden loud noises are prone to make him take off like a bat out of hell.

Factions

Have you ever wanted to play as the opposing faction?  As we’ve received an overwhelming amount of requests from players asking for the ability to switch factions, we are excited to announce the first new game mode since the game’s release!  With Factions, players will now have the opportunity to increase their team power by unlocking up to 35 new Bots from the opposing faction for a chance to lead Autobots and Decepticons in PvP battles and events from a single account!  Autobots can now channel the dark side as they destroy mortars and lasers as Nemesis Prime, while Decepticons can practice tearing up buildings with Grimlock!

Several new Crystals will be available to players to unlock their favorite characters of the opposing faction.

Autobot Premium Crystal: Chance to get a 2-star or greater Autobot!

Autobot 3-Star Crystal: Contains a 3-Star Autobot!

Previously revealed last July at STGCC, Mastermind Creations has revealed the final colored prototype images of their next release in the Ocular Max series, Kojin with Nightbeam. This is Ocular Max’s version of Artfire which features new head wings from their Backdraft release. Nightbeam is an homage to Nightstick,  and is a completely new tooling with tons of articulation for optimum poseability. This figure will be crowd-funded through their website and if the goal is met, will be released a month afterwards.

PAX East 2017 is scheduled to begin tomorrow and the team at Kabam is working hard to bring us new content from Transformers: Forged To Fight.

Speaking to video game news site A-List Daily, Kabam’s Creative Director Cuz Parry stated that “You are a battle commander who joins with Optimus Prime and the Earth Defense Command to unravel the mysteries of the planet and ascertain who’s really behind the chaos that is happening. Along the way, you’ll collect and level up a team of your favorite Transformers from Generations, the [Live Action] movies, and Beast Wars to start.”

Additionally, content from Transformers: The Last Knight will also be featured on the game: “although we are not a ‘movie game,’ there definitely will be some surprises from The Last Knight entering into Forged to Fight. We’ve had tremendous success with Marvel: Contest of Champions in giving fans of all aspects of the Marvel Universe fun and relevant content, and with Forged we’ll continue that tradition. Characters, environments, unique events . . . who knows?”

Furthermore, Mr. Parry stated that a new Trailer will debut in conjunction with PAX East 2017 which begins 10th March in Boston.

On a slightly related note, Epic Games have developed a VR Racing game under the license of Chevrolet to promote Camaro ZL1 (News Post image).

Finally, we are yet to hear more about the mysterious message by Hasbro regarding a possible tie-in game to Transformers: The Last Knight.

Take this news with a grain of salt, for a rumor is circulating that an exclusive sneak peek of  Transformers: The Last Knight will air during Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2017.

TF5 star actress Isabela Moner is confirmed to attend the event along with many other celebrities.

However, back in the days of Dark Of The Moon, a rumor was also circulating about a TV Spot/Trailer for the movie but Michael Bay‘s official website was quick to debunk it. Never-the-less, a cross promotional campaign was carried out to promote the toys and the movie that year.

Kids’ Choice Awards 2017 will take place this Saturday March 11th, 2017.

If you were going though the newspapers from UK today, you may have noticed many articles raving about a new product. Yes, Giant Kinder Eggs (100g) are now available and with an option to choose from a Transformers: Robots In Disguise toy or My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.

“The eggs are made to the exact same recipe, with a milky chocolate lining coated by a milk chocolate exterior. But the giant Kinder eggs are themed. There’s a choice between My Little Pony or Transformers: Robots in Disguise. The eggs cost between £5 and £10, depending where you buy them. Each comes with a sizeable toy.”

RID eggs come with a small figurine and a wearable Transformers themed toy to play with.

These eggs are expected to be UK’s hottest trend this Easter.

Remember the mysterious message on the Official Transformers You Tube Page?

As it turned out, it is not a teaser trailer for a Transformers: The Last Knight game after all. Thanks to the official Spanish Facebook Page for the Transformers franchise, we’ve now learned that the trailer was actually for a special exclusive event in Spain to celebrate Transformers: The Last Knight.

This is what the page has to say (via Google Translator):

“Very soon you will be the PROTAGONISTS of something very big … The destiny of #Transformers is in your hands!

We will give you more details in the near future. Just a clue: you are the protagonists and will happen ONLY in Spain…

The premiere is July 28 … but soon we will tell you many new things as you can change the destiny of Transformers!”

We are yet to find out the meaning behind the codes which comes with Tiny Turbo Changer figures.

Nickelodeon has confirmed the previous rumor regarding an exclusive sneak peek from the upcoming Michael Bay movie Transformers: The Last Knight. The footage will air during Kids’ Choice Awards 2017 along with new footage from Wonder Woman and Power Rangers.

“New footage is confirmed for Wonder Woman, Power Rangers and Transformers: The Last Knight.”

Transformers 5 star Isabela Moner will also attend the event.
